Berger Bullets recently announced a new addition to its Long-Range Hybrid Target (LRHT) line, the 6.5mm 144-grain LRHT projectile. With a high BC, a jump-tolerant hybrid ogive profile that is Doppler radar verified with less than 1 percent BC variation, this round is tailor-made for popular cartridges such as 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .260 Rem., 6.5x284 and 26 Nosler.

As all precision long-range shooters know, a high BC is helpful for competitive shooting, but shot-to-shot consistency is most critical when targets are out to 1,000 yards and beyond. The new 144-grain LRHT has a G1 BC of 0.655 and G1 BC of 0.336.

Berger’s new Meplat reduction technology applies controlled pressure along the nose of each LRHT bullet, producing a homogeneous and repeatable profile for consistent BC. The proprietary Meplat manufacturing process helps to provide a more consistent BC and is important for reducing dispersion at the distances long-range competitors often face.

The full LRHT line boasts six different offerings ranging from .22 caliber up to .30 caliber. Berger designed each offering around a specific long-range shooting discipline, such as Fullbore/Palma, F-Class, PRS and NRL. Learn more at bergerbullets.com.
