WVU rallied after entering the air rifle competition on Saturday in third place with a 10-point deficit after the smallbore phase, behind the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and Kentucky. The Mountaineers closed the gap in air rifle, buoyed by excellent shooting from senior Natalie Perrin with a score of 598-53X and freshman Ashlyn Blake with 597-52X.
Taking third place in the team two-gun aggregate was the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, who collectively posted a score of 4726-338X.

Coached by Jon Hammond, the WVU Mountaineers’ two best performances over the course of the competition came from senior Natalie Perrin, who posted a 598-53X score in air rifle and 592-37X in smallbore, along with sophomore Griffin Lake with 597-51X in air rifle and 591-43X in smallbore.
