Pro shooter Robert Brantley won the Tactical division at the 2023 Leupold Best in Texas Precision Rifle Series competition, held April 29 to May 1 and hosted by TX Precision Matches in Navasota, Texas.
The Leupold Best in Texas PRS Match was a two-day competition with 198 competitors in attendance, and featured 18 stages with targets out to 1,100 yards with different directions of fire. Additionally, the majority of the targets were in the two- to three-MOA range.
His final score was 175 with a time of 83.43 seconds. The Tactical division had 10 shooters in total, including Brantley.
Brantley employed Bushnell Elite Tactical and RCBS products on his way to a first place finish in Tactical division.
While competing in the Tactical division at the 2023 Leupold Best in Texas PRS Match, Brantley was using the Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS3 Riflescope with G4P reticle to win the division and place ninth overall.
“My XRS3 worked flawlessly across the entire course of fire,” Brantley said. “The G4P reticle is fine enough to make the small holds for wind and differences in distance, yet open enough to see everything going on down range. The scope tracks perfectly and lets you focus on shooting because you know the data is dead on all the way out.”
To prepare for the match, Brantley loaded all his .308 Win. competition rounds using RCBS products, including his Rock Chucker Supreme Press, Matchmaster dies, Bench Primer, Case Prep Center, Chargemaster Supreme powder dispenser and Ultrasonic Case Cleaner.
“The process and tools of the RCBS lineup allows me to put out perfect ammo,” Brantley said. “Having that level of control over all the variables lets me trust where every single round goes.”
