Precision rimfire shooting sensation and Vudoo Gun Works competitor Camdyn Powers secured the top title at the 2024 Utah’s Rimfire Revival-The Revenge match, a NRL22X competition held at the North Springs Shooting Range in Price, Utah, on April 20. Not only did Powers top the overall match leaderboard, she also won the Ladies division.
Regular Shooting Sports USA readers will remember Powers featured in the April 2024 Range Bag column.
The 2024 Utah’s Rimfire Revival-The Revenge was the largest single-day NRL22X and precision rimfire field-style competition in the history of the sport, attracting 138 of the top rimfire shooters in the world to compete in this challenging 15 stage, one-day match. This match covered different types of terrain, obstacles and shooting conditions, including a cowboy action town with targets as close as 14 yards, along with field stages featuring targets as far as 350 yards.
NRL22X matches are field-style competitions with shooters using .22 Long Rifle-chambered rifles to engage targets that are up to 350 yards away from various barricades.
As for Camdyn Powers, she is no stranger to the podium, recently taking the silver medal in the Ladies division at the first IPRF Rimfire World Championships, as well as the Top Lady and Ladies Season Champion at the 2023 NRL22 National Championship.
For precision rimfire competition, Powers runs the Vudoo V22 bolt-action rifle with a 20-inch MTU-V contour Bartlein barrel in an XLR Envy Pro Chassis topped with a Burris XTR Pro optic.
Additionally, Powers is the first woman to jump in NRL22X classification from Sharpshooter to Expert. She earned the Expert classification after her victory at the match in Utah this past weekend. She now sits in seventh place on the 2024 NRL22X season leaderboard.
