New from SIG Sauer is the P322-COMP, a competition-ready rimfire pistol complete with a factory-installed ROMEOZero Elite red-dot optic and a threaded barrel with compensator.
Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the SIG Sauer P322-COMP rimfire pistol boasts 25+1-round and 20+1-round capacity. (The pistol ships with one 20-round magazine and one 25-round magazine.) There’s also the aforementioned factory-installed ROMOEZero Elite three-MOA red-dot optic, and the four-inch long barrel made from carbon steel, which is equipped with a two-port compensator. On the polymer grip module is an extended magazine catch, adjustable trigger shoe, sport takedown lever, 1913 rail and integrated magazine well.
The single-action-only hammer-fired action on the P322-COMP is completely enclosed in a two-tone competition alloy slide with front, rear and top cocking serrations, a high visibility fiber-optic front sight and an ambidextrous slide-mounted racker. Two triggers, flat and curved are also included. As for the frame, it is made from stainless steel.
The new SIG P322-COMP builds on the original semi-automatic P322 .22 LR pistol released last year.
“When we brought the P322 to the market it was hailed for its ingenuity, quality and value. Now the P322-COMP raises the bar on the entire .22 plinking experience,” SIG Sauer’s Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales, Tom Taylor, said.
