New from Real Avid is a lineup of Smart-Torq Fixed Limiters built for 1/4-inch drivers. Simple to use, these fixed torque limiters are pre-set from the factory to common inch-pound torque specifications found in gun builds and component upgrades.

The new Smart-Torq Fixed Limiters are compact enough to fit in a tool kit. Sold individually, they are available in seven, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, 45, 50, 65, 80 and 100 inch-pound ratings. You can select the torque limiters for your needs and expand your kit as you deem fit.

To use, install the appropriate Real Avid Smart-Torq Fixed Limiter to any 1/4-inch driver, fit with the correct driver bit and tighten the screw. The limiter will “click” when the rated torque value is reached.

MSRP for the Real Avid Smart-Torq Fixed Limiter is $24.99.

Additionally, the Real Avid Smart-Torq Fixed Limiter and X3 Driver kit features the company’s X3 Driver system, along with six common Fixed Limiter torque values. Also included are 12 driver bits, a 1/4-inch hex-to-square adapter and a 1/2-inch socket, plus a hard-sided storage case.

Real Avid announced this new product hot on the heels of the release of its Smart-Torq Adjustable Limiter earlier this month. As the name implies, the Smart-Torq Adjustable Limiter can do torque values between 15 and 65 inch-pounds.
