RCBS had announced new die sets for reloading the 22 ARC cartridge, with two new sets added to the company’s lineup.
The 22 ARC, or Advanced Rifle Cartridge, is derived from 6 mm ARC and was developed to fit into standard-length AR-15 actions while providing improved ballistic capability.
The first of the pair of 22 ARC die sets is a full-length sizer die set priced at $51.95. The other option is the small base taper crimp die set priced at $64.95, which includes a small base sizer die designed for semi-automatic firearms, along with a taper crimp seater die. According to RCBS, the small base sizer “guarantees the cartridge will rechamber in AR-platform rifles.”
Made in Oroville, California, from the same proprietary steel blend as the rest of RCBS’s “Precisioneered” reloading dies, either of the new 22 ARC sets would be a solid addition to the handloading bench of any varmint hunter or target shooter. Ideal for single-stage or progressive presses, both 22 ARC die sets pair with RCBS’s #32 Shell Holders, sold separately.
“For just about any cartridge, you can bet on RCBS having the right equipment and dies for your reloading pursuit,” RCBS Product Manager Steve Koch said. “We’re proud to offer options for new cartridges like 22 ARC. You’ll see many additional exciting products coming from RCBS soon.”
RCBS is a brand of Hodgdon Powder Company. Both of the new 22 ARC die sets are available now and ready for shipping. Learn more at rcbs.com.
