New from Gunwerks is a limited-edition release in its Nexus bolt-action rifle system lineup called the Nexus Black. The company has prebuilt a small-batch run of Nexus Black rifles paired with the Revic Acura RS25i 5-25X 50 mm optic.

Described by the company as “a fusion of function and luxury,” the new Nexus Black is a stylish rifle that would be a fine addition to any shooter’s or hunter’s collection.

Gunwerks Nexus Black
The Gunwerks Nexus Black limited-edition bolt-action rifle sports a stainless-steel carbon-wrapped barrel, along with a full-length ARCA rail and a Picatinny bipod mount and flush QD sling mounts.

More from Gunwerks about the Nexus Black: “Black characterizes refined confidence, mirroring the essence of the rifle itself. When every decision before the hunt must be executed with intent, choosing the Nexus Black shows commitment to mastering the craft. Success on the hunt demands not just skill, but the right tools—and the Nexus Black delivers both with undeniable authority.”

The Nexus Black bolt-action rifle includes a quick-change barrel swap system, integrated ARCA and Picatinny rails, a flush detachable magazine and a black leather grip.

Thanks to a patent-pending design, the Nexus rifle system allows shooters to remove the stock and barrel with a T25 wrench and assemble it again with a new barrel and cartridge. Gunwerks said it controls the “fit of our proprietary changeable bolt head and barrel extension with precision CNC machining to allow you the simplest installation possible.”

The stainless-steel barrel is carbon wrapped and includes a directional brake on the muzzle.

Gunwerks said, “choosing the Nexus Black shows commitment to mastering the craft. Success on the hunt demands not just skill, but the right tools—and the Nexus Black delivers both with undeniable authority.”

As for the NXT action, it’s machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum and finished with a type III hard anodizing. The NXT also features a billet aluminum double-stack magazine box that can be loaded from above, along with a firing-pin blocking three-position safety. A full-length ARCA and Picatinny bipod rail with built-in trigger guard will accepts the Gunwerks flush mount, detachable, double-stack magazine.

The Gunwerks Nexus stock sports a more vertical grip and enhanced thumb shelf. Additionally, Gunwerks maintained the same shallow toeline of the Magnus to interface with a rear bag. Hand-stitched leather paneling should prove to stand up well to the elements.

The Gunwerks Nexus rifle system is available in the following calibers: 6.5 PRC, 7 PRC and 300 PRC.

According to the Gunwerks website, price for the Nexus Black is approximately $9,945 with a $2,000 down payment. Lead time is 150 days. Go to gunwerks.com.
