During the interview, which took place at what was called PrairieFire Nevada at the time, Horvath dropped some big news: PrairieFire Nevada is reinventing itself, including a new name for the gargantuan shooting facility.
“At end of the day today, we will be rebranding as Staccato Vegas, as part of the overall Staccato ecosystem … So, you heard that here maybe first, maybe not,” Horvath said.

Staccato Vegas sits on 550 acres and boasts more than 50 unique shooting ranges, SWAT-style competition courses, a sporting clays course, long-distance rifle platforms and a full ropes course. There’s also Gunslinger Canyon, a timed run-and-gun experience where shooters engage steel targets at multiple stations from the bottom and top of a canyon. In addition, there is another large shooting and training facility that falls under the Staccato name—Staccato Ranch located in Florence, Texas.
During Staccato Range Day 2025 in Nevada, the company unveiled its new Staccato HD pistol lineup, with the HD P4 handgun chambered in 9 mm Luger available to demo. (Watch NRA Media’s video featuring the new Staccato HD P4.)
“Staccato, of course, is out here. They’re introducing their new pistol, the HD, which you may have heard about, but there’s a lot going on with that,” Horvath said.

Below are more excerpts from the interview, edited for length and clarity.
On Staccato Range Day 2025 at Staccato Vegas.
“At Staccato Vegas, what we’re doing today is an industry range day for folks to come out and experience all of the great products that our manufacturing partners have to offer. We’ve got 50 manufacturers out here today, with more than 4,000 people expected on 550 acres. [Staccato Vegas] is shooting sports Disneyland.”
On the year-over-year growth of Staccato Range Day from 2024 to 2025.
“We have quite a few more companies here. Last year was really about getting started. We had Staccato and a handful of others. This year, we sold out—no space available for any additional manufacturers to come shoot.”

On what Staccato Vegas has to offer to visitors and potential members.
“We’ve got everything from long range to shotgun, to pistol to run and gun, and we’re also highlighting a lot of the courses that we have out here at Staccato Vegas, which is one thing that we think sets us apart from a range. We really think of ourselves as more of an ‘experience center.’ There’s a lot of run and gun. There’s a lot of dynamic shooting. We have some of the stages set up from our SWAT championship. So, you can run the same courses that the SWAT teams ran when they were out here competing for the SWAT national championships.”
On how to become a member of Staccato Vegas and what membership entails.
“[It’s] easy. You can do it on our website or in person. We’ve got three different membership levels, from one for people may not come here that frequently, to a membership that includes everything. [For the latter], all of the courses and experiences are included at both Staccato Vegas and Staccato Ranch in Texas. So, you get access to two amazing properties and all the experiences that we have to offer, plus 10% off Staccato firearms, as well as being a member. And, of course, access to events like this, which we’ll continue to have throughout the year.”
