Magpul’s new Rider sunglasses are the latest addition to the company’s casual eyewear lineup.
The Rider sunglasses provide a classic look and style, sporting frames constructed of lightweight TR90 thermoplastic and lenses that provide high-velocity impact protection.
The oleophobic, anti-reflective lenses are ballistic tested to MIL PRF 32432 ballistic standards. More features of the Magpul Rider sunglasses lineup include coated, stainless steel pins, anti-slip rubber nose pads, along with polarized and non-polarized lens options.
Although Magpul Rider eyewear is not rated to Z87.1 specifications, due to the wrap and shape, the lens and frames were engineered to the same ballistic impact protection standards as Magpul’s other eyewear.
Available frame and lens color combinations for Magpul’s new Rider sunglasses include the following: matte black and clear lens, black and dark gray, matte black and polarized dark gray, matte black and polarized gray with red mirror, gloss black frame and polarized gray with silver mirror, light tortoise and polarized gray-green, burnt bronze and polarized dark gray, plus desert verde with polarized dark gray lenses.
The oleophobic thermoplastic lenses should provide protection from oil, sweat and sunscreen. Plus, Magpul Rider sunglasses are chemical, UV and stress-crack resistant.
Additionally, each pair of Magpul Rider sunglasses includes a Magpul eyewear bag made with lens-safe cleaning material.
MSRP for Magpul Rider sunglasses is $69 for non-polarized lenses and $99 for polarized lenses. Visit magpul.com for more information.
