Magpul is expanding its DAKA product lineup with range bags that the company said are “built to handle the elements.” Available in small (20-liter) and large (40-liter) sizes, these range bags are made from Magpul’s proprietary DAKA material, and also include dual YKK Aquaguard zippers on the outer pockets and RF-welded seams to keep moisture out.
Notice the clean lines and the sleek look of these new range bags from Magpul.
Here’s a quick rundown of Magpul DAKA range bag features.
As mentioned, Magpul’s DAKA Grit and DAKA Dura TPU fabrics are RF welded for weather and abrasion resistance. Plus, the zippered main compartment sports a fold-out lid that doubles as a padded work mat. Under the lid are a zippered slip pocket and stretch woven compartments.
Side pockets incorporate dual YKK Aquaguard zippers (like the main compartment), and the interior is RF welded, too, to make it waterproof. On one side of the main compartment is a stretch mesh-gusseted pocket, along with a loop-lined wall for attaching accessories via a hook-and-loop system.
Also located in the interior of the range bag is a handy pocket to store NFA documents.
The structured Hypalon bottom of the DAKA range bag includes a compressed foam insert for extra durability and support.
In addition, there are tuckable sling mounting plates on each side for sling carry, which are compatible with quick-detach mounts, Paraclips, MASH hooks or similar connecting devices. Not only that, but there are die-cut DAKA patches that provide solid handle construction.
Magpul’s new DAKA range bags are available in two sizes: small and large, in black and flat dark earth colors. MSRP for the small 20-liter range bag is $129.95, while the large 40-liter range bag is $159.95.
The company said that the new DAKA range bags should be available for purchase in the next one to two months, so expect to see them no later than March 2025. Go to magpul.com to learn more.
