Lena Miculek and the USA Ladies Team had a stellar showing at the 2018 IPSC Shotgun World Shoot in Châteauroux, France. A three-time champion, Miculek won the Ladies Category, Standard Division with a commanding performance, scoring 1458.6063. Fellow Team USA members Dianna Muller, Dakota Overland and Becky Yackley finishing in second, third and fourth places respectively. Team USA (Miculek, Muller, Yackley and Katie Francis) also won gold in the Ladies Category, Standard Division. The medals were presented to the individual and team winners during the Awards Ceremony on Sunday, June 10.

Born into a veritable shooting dynasty, the Miculek family, Lena has been competing since she was eight years old. She arrived on the scene and distinguished herself internationally with her first major victory at the 2012 IPSC Shotgun World Championship in Debrecen, Hungary. She followed this up by winning a second title in 2015, at the World Championship in Agna, Italy. Since becoming an active competitor in 2011, Miculek has racked up an impressive list of wins; including back-to-back 3GN Lady Championships (2013 and 2014); Pan American 3-Gun High Lady (2013) and USPSA Multi Gun Nationals (2014). And last but not least, she is a three-time top shooter in the Ladies Category at the NRA World Shooting Championship.

Just like her father Jerry and mother Kay, Miculek’s shotgun of choice is the Mossberg 930 JM (Jerry Miculek) Pro. The 930 JM Pro utilizes a fast-cycling, gas-vent operating system which is designed to help with recoil reduction and to reduce wear and tear on operating parts. Mossberg enhanced the 930 JM with an extended knurled bolt handle; oversized safety button; adjustable trigger over travel; choice of 9- or 10-shot capacities; and protective barrel clamp for the extended mag tube. Additionally, internal parts sport a corrosion-resistant finish for added smoothness during cycling and easier cleaning.
