At the 2021 USPSA Team Motley Dragon’s Cup, pro shooter KC Eusebio won first place overall and first place in the Open Championship with a final time of 202.87 seconds. The match was held April 9-11 in Odessa, Texas.
Eusebio was the top shooter for 10 out of the 12 match stages. The two stages where he did not have the high score, 8 and 11, he was the fourth-place finisher and the runner-up, respectively.
When asked about the match, Eusebio elaborated on the skills that he needed for success. His words echo that of Max Michel, who finished in third place overall and secured a Carry Optics win at the match. Both Michel and Eusebio have been top shooters on the USPSA circuit for many years.
“The Dragon’s Cup was an extremely difficult match that made me work hard for a victory,” said Eusebio. “The match was an eye-opener and showed me exactly what I need to work on for the rest of the season.”
Eusebio won both of his titles at the 2021 Dragon’s Cup using his Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. He mentioned how his Bushnell optic aided him with the longer-than-normal shots over hard cover and no-shoot targets at the match.
“Despite these tough stage conditions, my First Strike 2.0 carried my confidence through the match, and I was able to call my shots with ease. A big thank you to my Bushnell family for giving me the optics I need to take home the title under some challenging circumstances.”
Something to note—in second place overall at the match was PCC shooter Max Leograndis with a final time of 203.89 seconds. Pistol-caliber carbine scores at action shooting matches this year are heating up—Leograndis’s score was about one second behind that of Eusebio.
