Todd Jarrett won a gold medal in the Super Senior category at the 2024 International Practical Shooting Confederation Rifle World Shoot, held at the Ruutikangas Range in Oulu, Finland, July 30 to August 10.
Competing in the Semi-Automatic Open division, the Federal Ammunition sponsored shooter walked away from the match with a score of 1707.7201 to claim the Super Senior gold medal. Jarrett’s score also ranked him 44th on the overall Semi-Automatic Open leaderboard. In addition, the Super Senior runner-up was Jerry Miculek with a score of 1643.9871.
There were 57 shooters competing in the Super Senior category at the 2024 IPSC Rifle World Shoot.
“The United States dominated the event in both the men’s and women’s divisions. This is my first world title in IPSC Rifle and my first IPSC rifle match. Previously, I have competed in many IPSC World Championship levels with a pistol over three decades, so it was a different experience,” Jarrett said. “My ammo was the Federal Premium 69-grain Sierra MatchKing bullets. My 600 rounds worked flawlessly during the match, including some shots out to 400 yards in some tricky Finland wind. I am looking forward to more International Rifle Championships using Federal ammo in the future.”
Jarrett also went on to help the U.S. Super Senior Team win the gold medal in the team competition, with the team garnering a final score of 4428.4713. In addition to Jarrett, the team members were Jerry Miculek, Leighton Oosthuisen and William Paolino. Their stellar performance maintained the U.S. National Team’s tradition of excellence in this category.
This year’s IPSC Rifle World Shoot in Finland boasted 735 competitors hailing from dozens of countries.
