Federal Ammunition sponsored shooter Derrick Mein claimed High Over All titles in three major events at the 2025 Jack Link’s Cup sporting-clays tournament, held at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, from February 10-16.
The 2025 Jack Link’s Cup attracted 1,352 participants from around the world.
Mein, a two-time Olympian, was the High Over All winner in the FITASC event with a final score of 99/100. In addition, he secured the Thursday Prelim High Over All title with a score of 98/100, along with the North Prelim victory with 99/100. He also earned the honor of Master Second in the Jack Link’s Cup Main Event, walking away with a score of 186/200.
In all, Mein earned a payout of $10,517 at the 2025 Jack Link’s Cup.
“The Jack Link’s Cup was a great experience, providing its own unique challenges as a shooter,” Mein said. “Changes in weather, along with challenging presentations, were at the top of that list. The confidence I have in the Federal Premium High Over All shotshells I use for competition helped me overcome those challenges to beat some of the best competitors in the world.”
Federal’s Premium High Over All product line includes 26 different 12- and 20-gauge options, with a variety of payload weights, velocities, dram options and shot sizes. Federal’s unique Podium wad design’s cylinder-shaped compression zone supports the payload and provides protection from deformation at ignition for the best patterns and fewer flyers. The soft-shooting wad’s profile allows it to be loaded in all tapered hulls.
