Every year, firearms industry insiders and enthusiasts alike look forward to getting a first glimpse of new guns, ammunition and gear at SHOT Show, which took place in Las Vegas last January. Thousands of companies flood multiple convention halls to show off their latest firearms and other products—it’s easy to walk five to 10 miles in one day while at SHOT Show just trying to see everything.

Here’s the ammunition that impressed us the most at SHOT Show 2025.

Berger’s name and well-earned reputation now applies to loaded precision ammunition. At SHOT Show 2025, the company announced the introduction of new Berger Target ammo for long-range competition shooters built with Berger bullets, Lapua brass and Vihtavouri powder, including a .300 Norma Mag. 245-grain Long-Range Hybrid Target load. This combination is a win for competitors who don’t handload and hunters who want quality factory-loaded ammo. MSRP: $124.95 per 20-round box, bergerbullets.com

About its new Golden Clays Performance Target shotshells, Browning Ammunition said it’s “for the competitive shooter looking for premium shotshell ammunition.” Available in 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge, 16-gauge and .410 bore, these shotshells use lead shot alloyed with antimony to reduce deformation. Shell size is 2¾ inches except for .410 bore, which is 2½ inches. In addition, a four-petal, one-piece competition-grade wad provides uniform velocities and consistent shot release. Beginning in 2025, Hornady aids in popularizing the 6 mm GT for competition by offering factory-loaded ammunition. Hornady’s 6 mm GT 109-grain ELD Match loading launches that 109-grain ELD match bullet (with a G1 BC of .557) at 2,870 f.p.s. velocity. For this load, Hornady says these small primer pocket cases are carefully selected based on strict criteria of wall thickness uniformity and concentricity, along with volume and case weight. MSRP: $45.99 per 20-round box, hornady.com

To “extract peak performance from Federal’s straight-wall hull,” Federal Master Class shotshells feature a customized Podium wad, while high-antimony lead shot provides an ideal balance of hardness and density. The velocity ranges from 1,235 f.p.s. to 1,300 f.p.s. Additionally, Federal’s new Master Class shells have a striated tube. MSRP: $15.99 per 25-round box, federalpremium.com
