Team Savage’s Matt Alwine topped the leaderboard in Factory division at the 2024 National Rifle League Manners Elite Hunter competition, which took place in Grandfield, Oklahoma, April 12-14.
The 2024 NRL Manners Elite Hunter match was centered around realistic hunting experiences true to Southern Oklahoma, with blind stages that tested competitors across all aspects of shooting and hunting. There were 19 stages in total.
Alwine walked away from the competition in Oklahoma with 128 match points, also finishing third on the overall match leaderboard.
More about the 2024 NRL Manners Elite Hunter competition: “This match will provide realistic hunting scenarios as seen with southern Oklahoma hunting: pig, coyote, wolf, whitetail deer, prairie dog and rabbit. The property will provide blind stages to test you across all aspects of field shooting and hunting with targets ranging from 200 to 900 yards, with average targets at 500 yards.”
Alwine secured his victory in the Factory division using a Savage Carbon Tactical chambered in 6.5 mm Creedmoor. The 2024 NRL Manners Elite Hunter win continues Alwine and Team Savage’s strong start this year, following his first-place finishes in March at NRL Hunters Series matches.
