The NRA Collegiate & Schools Program established the Collegiate Shooting Scholarship Program to support America's youth in furthering their higher education. The scholarships are a unique way for high school students to receive support from the NRA to continue their education, as well as their passion for competitive shooting and the Second Amendment. Each scholarship recipient will receive $5,000.
This year, the program offered one-time college scholarships to eligible graduating high school seniors in Pennsylvania or Virginia. Applicants had to be in good academic standing with no less than a 3.0 GPA, supported by an official transcript and a short essay on how the shooting sports have contributed in their own personal development. The NRA hopes to open the scholarship to more states in the future.
