This year marked the third consecutive year that the NRA National Matches were conducted at Camp Atterbury, which is an active Indiana National Guard base located about 37 miles south of Indianapolis.
For the third consecutive year, Indiana First Lady Janet Holcomb fired the ceremonial first shot to begin the NRA National Matches at Camp Atterbury.
The NRA National High Power Rifle Championship at Camp Atterbury, held July 8-14, kicked off the 2023 NRA National Matches.
Range Six at Camp Atterbury was equipped with Silver Mountain electronic targets for the second consecutive year.
With a score of 2387-113X, Amanda Elsenboss won the 2023 NRA National High Power Rifle Championship at Camp Atterbury. The match was held July 8-14. Elsenboss previously secured the same title in 2021.
The 2023 NRA National High Power Rifle Mid-Range Championship was held July 16-21 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
With a score of 2396-171X, Kim Rowe of Wadsworth, Ohio, is this year's NRA High Power Rifle Mid-Range National Champion. She is pictured above receiving her trophy plaque from NRA Second Vice President David Coy. For her victory, Rowe received a Patriot Minuteman Championship plaque, a gold-tone National Championship medallion and a $200 check from the NRA.
Thanks to the Silver Mountain electronic target systems, NRA High Power Rifle competitors at Camp Atterbury were able to view scores in real-time. Additionally, the use of e-targets eliminated the need for shooters to perform pit duty.
Oliver Milanovic captured this year’s NRA National High Power Rifle Long-Range Championship with a score of 1242-66X. The NRA National High Power Rifle Long-Range Championship took place at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, from July 23-28 as part of the 2023 NRA National Matches. Milanovic previously won the same title in 2021.
The folks at Camp Valor Outdoors brought a large team of competitive shooters to the NRA High Power Rifle Nationals this year.

There were 54 total entries in the 2023 NRA National High Power Rifle OTC Championship at Camp Atterbury.
From the NRA High Power Rifle rulebook: “A competitor may use one or more ground cloths or ground pads so long as they are not constructed or used in a manner to provide artificial rest or support.”

The NRA High Power Rifle Mid-Range course of fire includes targets set at a distance of 300, 500 and 600 yards. Long-Range has targets at 800 yards and beyond.
