Exciting news out of Arizona, where McMillan has just released its brand new A5-22 Stock. The A5-22 is designed to mesh with the popular Ruger 10/22 barreled action, giving such rifles a tactical option for peak rimfire performance. Constructed by hand from fiberglass to optimize strength and accuracy, the A5-22 features a wide forearm brace and flattened buttstock, to increase stability when shooting from a sandbag or an improvised rest. Pricing ranges from $338 to $548. Update: For a drop-in ready Full Inlet model, expect to spend between $685 for a non-adjustable version and up to about $868 for a fully adjustable version with an adjustable cheek piece and spacer system for the recoil pad.

For those familiar with McMillan, it should be noted that the A5-22 is a slight deviation from the company’s normal model tactical stocks, as it is designed to accommodate rifles with rear tang attachments (such as the Ruger 10/22 and the Kidd 10/22). It is available with a flat-top, a basic inlet, or full inlet configuration, and can be further customized with either a fixed-comb or an integral adjustable cheek piece.

The A5-22 comes in a wide range of colors and patterns, including Transition Camo, Ambush Camo, Marble, and solid and assorted broad-pattern camos.
