The final event of ISSF World Cup Stage 2 ended with Team USA shooter Vincent Hancock winning the Men’s Skeet gold medal. This is his second medal in 2018 after winning one in Guadalajara, Mexico, last March.

At the new Changwon International Shooting Range in Changwon, Korea, Hancock started by hitting all of his first 35 targets, then missing his one and only at station number 4. Hancock didn’t look back—shooting perfectly for the rest of the final and finishing with 59 hits out of 60 clays.

Additionally, just like he did in Guadalajara, Hancock equaled the current World Record in the Men’s Skeet event, set by Italy’s Riccardo Filippelli and Great Britain’s Ben Llewellin at the 2017 ISSF World Cup Final in New Delhi, India.

Italy’s Gabriele Rossetti—the current Olympic and World Champion—was runner up, taking the silver medal with 55—the third World Cup medal of his career.

Taking the bronze with 43 hits out of 50, Spain’s Juan Jose Aramburu won the fourth World Cup medal of his career. This was his 50th start in the ISSF World Cup Series, and he will be adding this latest medal to the three bronzes he won in 2006, 2013 and 2016.

The 2018 ISSF World Cup Series continues next month at Fort Benning, GA, where the third stage will be held May 7-15.
