Robert Gustin of Cameron Park, CA is the 2015 NRA Mid-Range National Champion, winning the match with a score of 2399-168X. Eighty-six competitors shot at distances of 300, 500 and 600 yards. The Mid-Range Championship is held each year at Camp Perry, OH as part of the NRA National High Power Rifle Championship segment of the historic NRA National Matches.

A veteran of the California Highway Patrol, “Bob” started competitive shooting at age 13. He was a collegiate All-American and in 1970-72, he was a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. He has won several prior NRA Smallbore and High Power Rifle Championships.
The Mid-Range Championship was created in 2013 due to the rising popularity of F-Class shooting. However, the Mid-Range Championship isn’t just for F-Class Open and T/R rifles, because sling shooters are allowed to compete with Service Rifles and Match Rifles and are classified accordingly.
